Macbook and external hard drives and flash ……..?
I have an Intel Core Duo MacBook running leopard and when i connect external hard drive via USB or flash drive. And when I open the hard disk or flash drive and copy anything from it. Own macbook will say or discounted equipment and minor rights of all this flash drive or hard drive i plug in and I tried reformatting the drives, but I still do. It is possible that the leopard? Or the Macbook? Is there someone else for problems, like this?
Try to copy them if they logged in as administrator or root. If you still can not copy them, what rights are set in the files. if something like "r – - r – - r – -" may not be able to copy them. I do not know how to do this a GUI, but you can open a terminal window and go to the directory where the flash drive and try to fix the command "chmod 777 *.*", while logged in as root or administrator, and that you have appropriate permissions to copy the files.
